Who we are: Board Members
Nisha Singh
Nisha Singh (she/her) is a San Francisco-based marketing and communications professional and stage
actor. The intersection of her experiences in marketing, storytelling, and performances builds in social
spheres of influence that move from ideas to movements to strategies that center diverse narratives and
champion equity.
Nisha has built her career combining things she’s passionate about: creating brands, promoting
performing arts and expression, and furthering an organization’s mission to create social and economic
justice. She believes in creating a strong culture that encourages collaboration, drives creativity and
ingenuity, and empowers individuals to create their best work and thrive. In 2021, Nisha received the
Spirit of Philanthropy Award honoring her nonprofit leadership in the local Bay Area, issued by the
Association of Fundraising Professionals, Golden Gate Chapter.
Nisha was born in the Bay Area and lives with her husband, Joseph, in San Francisco. She holds an MFA in
Theater and Contemporary Performance from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado, and a somatic
movement therapy certificate from Moving On Center in Berkeley, California.
